As I stepped out of my house this morning, I was greeted by a gentle breeze carrying the aroma of blooming flowers.

Today was a day I had been eagerly waiting for the day I got to go to my ancestral village for Rongali Bihu.

The excitement that races through my heart is beyond words.

Ma and Deuta woke me up early, and we began packing our bags.

Today was an extraordinary day.

I can't believe I am back in the hustle and bustle of the city after celebrating bihu in our ancestral village.

It was an incredible experience.

I got to learn many things about this festival from my grandmother.

She told me that Assamese people embrace this season as a harbinger of peace, happiness, and prosperity.

The third day was the Gosai Bihu.

Our whole family went to the namghar to seek blessings from the almighty.

The fourth day, i.e yesterday was the Kutum Bihu.

It's a time for family reunion and gatherings.

So, all the members of our family came together, shared food, and exchanged greetings.

I wanted to stay for all the seven days, as on Mela Bihu people indulge in traditional games and festivities, I wanted to be a part of that.

However, I wore the traditional attire and went with village children to perform Huchori in every household.

Each family honoured us with a Cheleng cloth, Gamocha and a small amount of money.

I also had the priviledge to see the Mukoli Bihu performed by unmarried girls and boys in open fields.

As I sit here on this warm evening, I am reminded that there are only a few days left of spring in Assam.

It's been a season of enchantment and transformation.

ই যাদু আৰু পৰিৱৰ্তনৰ এক ঋতু আছিল।

It's been a time of joy and togetherness.

ই আনন্দ আৰু একতাৰ সময় আছিল।

I will miss everything about this season.

But I know that with the arrival of summer, new adventures and experiences await.

Today was a very tiring but incredibly exciting day! We finally started our dance drama rehearsals for the upcoming school annual function. Our group is performing a piece based on a historical event, and I am playing one of the lead characters. At first, it was quite challenging to get the steps synchronized with my friends, and we kept missing the beats. However, our teacher was very patient with us. By the end of the evening, we managed to perform the first act perfectly. It felt amazing to see all our hard work come together. I am a bit exhausted, but my heart is full of joy. Can't wait for the next rehearsal!
