Chapter Summary / Overview (āĻŽূāϞ āĻাā§ą)

"Bitopan's New Friend" is an imaginative and educational story about a boy named Bitopan who dislikes science and thinks it is completely useless. Upset because his science teacher scolded him for not paying attention, Bitopan falls asleep at his study table. In his dream, his science book magically jumps out from the shelf and begins talking to him. The book sadly asks why Bitopan ignores it, despite the fact that it helps him live a comfortable life.

When Bitopan expresses his confusion, the science book explains that everything from toothpaste, soaps, fans, mobiles, televisions, to medicines are all gifts of science. Realizing how deeply connected science is to our daily survival, Bitopan feels sorry. He accepts the science book as his dear new friend and promises to pay attention in class. Finally, he wakes up from his dream when his mother calls him, completely changing his perspective toward the subject.
